![]() It's only really good the first time through unfortunately, cause unlike Chapter 3, the mystery is the entirety of the chapter. Riverside Station was a fun change of pace as well.įun mystery chapter that serves as a breather between 5 and 7. Love the music, the aesthetic, and the mystery aspect. Second best chapter of all time, thanks to the mystery, fun traversal of the Excess Express, lots of funny dialogue, best characters in the game, and if you want a more traditional styled area with enemies to fight and puzzles to solve, Riverside Station has you covered. This one and Chapter six are both full of mystery and who can forget the Great Gonzales Junior he's awesome best Paper Mario sidekick EVER! they should have at least made the rematch with the Iron clefts and the fight with Bowser a Game Over or win fight but that's my only complaint. This is also the easiest Chapter: Not ebcause of the enemies ut because you can't get a game over until the finale. Grubba, you had me! And I'm usually good at figuring things out! Rawk Hawk's theme was epic and so was Macho grubba's. Like Chapter six this was a break from the odinary and it was full of mysteries and drama and you have two very suspicious people managing you (I had my eye on miss jolene) and it has everything a climax needs: A plot twist. I think it's mostly just because the combat in TTYD is so exceptional.Ĭhapter 6 was really fun and interesting it's a close second but this definitely tops it and the rest of them. Plus it also has a very cool mystery aspect, it gives you the best partner in the game, Yoshi Kid, who you can name whoever you want, and the little traversing the area that there was, was done very well. The best chapter in the series, thanks to TTYD's battle system. I was enjoying the game decently until I got here and I was HOOKED for the entire thing! When it was done, I looked back at how awesome the mystery, fighting your way through the rankings, amazing characters, and fun bosses were, and I went on to get through the rest of the game, which was fantastic all the way through. The game overall is FANTASTIC, but the first two chapters were a little more lackluster than the rest (not bad at all, just less interesting in my opinion). The ultimate reward could be an all-stat plus, a special item that increases HP and FP by 5, BP by 3, Attack and Defense by 1.This chapter is one of the main reasons TTYD is my favorite game ever. Improved special attacks (longer-lasting effects, more damage/input time, etc.) May also increase max SP. New battle skills like those from badges, but no BP needed. ![]() May apply to partners' abilities as well. Improved overworld abilities (more speed for Paper/Tube/Boat Modes, more initial height for Airplane Mode, more walking speed, higher jumps, faster hammer swings/spins, etc.). Rewards could be upgrades of moves that Mario got in their respective chapters, they may include: New Game: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Trial PitĪ more serious idea: After the first pit, make the following pits chapter-themed, with the 100th floor boss being a harder version of the corresponding chapter boss (if there are minibosses, put them at floor 50, 33-66, 25-50-75, etc., depending on how many they are, also harder).
